Unable to map Owners to their respective accounts by using Kingswaysoft SSIS

Posted on by 310

Hello,

I am migrating data from CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 365 using Kingswaysoft SSIS.

Tried all possible ways but not able to map the owners to the new system.

Tried mapping owneridname from source to ownerid in destination, still no results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

If you can post your reply under the new question, it would be great.

That is correct. You cannot map labels from source to labels of destination. Destination has to be an int value, which is why we have the mapping. Are there any custom values in the source that are not in the destination?

BTW, since this post is Verified, I would open this as a new post, so that other people can see it as well. Other users will most likely not reply to a post that is marked as Verified. I will still see it regardless, but no one else...

I am using Dynamics OptionSet Mapping. Even I thought the same thing that ownershipcodename would be the label. I tried mapping the label value with the label in destination.

    Eg: 1 maps to Public

         2 maps to Private etc.

I cant map the labels from source with the labels in destination.

Eg: When I map Public to Public, it gives an error message that both the fields are same.

Ownershipcodename in your source is most likely the label of the ownershipcode.

In SSIS, maybe you can use a Dynamics OptionSet Mapping component to map the values.

    Hello,

Thank you so much for your help. Users issue is been resolved.

Facing another issue related to OptionSet Mapping.

I want to map the accounts ownership from CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 365. I tried mapping ownershipcodename from source to ownershipcode in destination. (This was the only option I got for mapping). It gives the following error as shown below.

I tried mapping Public to Public field but it did not accept it.

I havent come across any way of migrating users from CRM 2013 to Dynamics 365. (Is there any way or tool to do this?)

Users (few) who are in Dynamics 365 have been syncd from Active Directory and the admin assigns roles to the users.

If you change it in your source component, they your will only read the records for that user, and that is what will be written to the target component

    I thought of something...

How did you migrate your users from CRM 2013 to Dynamics 365?

I think that might be your issue that your ownerid from your crm 2013 environment does not match your ownerid from your 365 environment.

If that is the case, you will need to create a mapping table to use in your migration.

Yes I checked the link. It just opens the home page of dynamics 365. I tried to manually match the ID but did not find it.

Would it possible for you to tell me how and where to change the query for a specified user?

I can change the query in FetchXML in source CRM component but cant find a way to change the query in CRM Destination Editor.

    Thank you.

Did you check the user account that had the error? The link that I sent you...

Regarding migrating user accounts for a specified user, the answer is yes.

You would have to modify you query when you retrieve your data where the owner is the specified user.
