How to change currency in bank account if transaction made

Hello,

I would like to have expert solution on this.

We recently went live in one of the European country customer, we have set up bank and with currency EUR.

However, later customer decided that bank account should be in local currency, but they made transaction on that.

Now, how can we proceed to change the currency for that same account?

Note- we know that, we can make this bank account "inactive for all transaction" and then create a new account, however we are opening this discussion for more options from experts.

Hi Ramit,

As suggested you can not change the currency but you can allow other currency transactions for this bank account just another alternative option.

Else you can go ahead and create and deactivate this one.

Hi Ramit,

You can't change the currency when you have transactions. So, like you mentioned yourself, you have to create a new bank account and move the balance from the current bank account.

It would be possible to rename the bank account identification. Then you can rename the current account to e.g. : Bank-OLD and after this renaming action, you can create the new bank account with the familiar bank account ID.
