Hi
Sometimes there are chances that your information is not saved in DB. It shows on the form (may be due to some script on page load) but data is not saved. And viewing same field on View shows empty as data was just displayed in field but was not saved actually.
Try to save the form before closing it and make sure it is saved (no message as "unsaved changes" at bottom)

I just have a few questions that may be useful.
Is this field belongs to related entity?
This field has belongs to field level security profiles?
Are you tried this action with admin user?
Is it possible that the view is cached.
Try refreshing the page where you see the view, by entering CTRL+F5.
Also, is it possible that you have two fields with the same display name, and the one on the view is different than the one on the form???
