Created New Store with Wrong Store Database

We have a new store that appears to be created from an incorrect store database. We have a couple stores that are not the normal and unfortunately this was used to create the new store. There is a lot of data missing. Can I simply restore with a .bak file from a store that has all the data I want to copy or do I need to start over with re-creating the store database?

    Here is the KB article that explains the process Stacy.

    support.microsoft.com/.../909831  Scott is correct, restoring a backup is not the option you'd want to use if the database is damaged or corrupted.

    Hello Stacy,

    Thank you for your question.

    Please note that when running Headquarters, we recommend never restoring a store database from a backup.

    If you simple re-export out the store database from HQ again, this should resolve the issue.

    I recommend you open a support case, the direction and scripts that may be required to correct this Stacy, are likely not going to be available to you within these forums. Without having access to the data it's not possible to know what was done or provide direction to correct it. Fixing data may also require advisory services, what does you Microsoft Partner recommend you do with this data?
