Business Central Licensing Problems

Hi,

We are a Microsoft Partner, but not a Dynamics Partner as this is not our speciality. We want to implement Business Central online so we are looking to use another Microsoft Partner that is a Business Central Partner as you would expect.

We are having a problem getting a Business Central environment setup and licenses applied due to Microsoft seeming to have a problem with two Microsoft Partners working together.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and what's the solution?

Many thanks

Tom

Never listened about this problem. You need to acquire licenses from a CSP partner (that must activate your tenant) but I think that after that you're exactly like a normal customer.

    Hey Tom,

According to my information Business Central licenses are only available to Dynamics Partners; not to all Microsoft Partners.

You are only able to setup a Business Central environment after you have purchased the license and logged on with an account that is licensed for Business Central (environment gets created instantly the first time you try to log on).

Are you able to access the CSP portal? If so, please check whether you're able to purchase any Dynamics licenses.

If not, please find a Dynamics partner who can buy the required licenses for you (and assist you with the functional implementation if necessary)

    Kind regards,

    Floris

    Hey,

You need to purchase licenses from a CSP partner and then they can setup the tenant for you. Once you do that it does not matter you are a partner or not, you will be treated as a normal customer.
