Is it possible to create an alarm that triggers every hour that displays the current status of a Batch Job?

Hi,
What is the underlying reason for this request?
Best regards,
Ludwig
Good day, the reason for this is so that people will get reminded by the pop-up notifications of the current status of the Batch Job easily.
Isn't this standard feature that Crispin mentioned above sufficient?
Good day sir, I need an hourly alert one, just to check on the progress, status and BOM level every hour, regardless of having an error or completion.
Hi Sean,
After every reply, you provide some additional details. Now, I do think you have a very long running task. Can you tell the exact situation? Then we can possibly think with you for a good solution.
The batch framework is able to display the status based on the progress of one or more tasks. Usually, the count is based on completed tasks. If you have a batch job with one task, it will be 0 or 100 for the complete batch. It is possible to split the number of tasks using the SysOperation framework. Then you will have a kind of progress on the standard batch form. Some documentation can be found here: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx
Ah sorry for the late reply sir Arnaud, I am quite new to AX and I was tasked to create an hourly alarm to trigger that will send the details of the following unfinished tasks.
These refer to a regen mrp in which case look under Master planning / Inquiries / Processes / Unfinished scheduling processes.
Press F5 and the status column and BOM level columns will update to show where the program is currently in process.
This enables you to ‘track’ the progress from:
• Initialization
• through coverage planning by each BOM level,
• through to Future & Action Messages
• through Statistics,
• and updating the Dynamic Master plan.
To view the Process task duration screen form the Master Scheduling screen click to activate the process task duration checkbox.
Do not check this box for daily runs because it requires additional processing time – but its useful to understand where the time is spent in the Master Scheduling Process,
Click on Inquiries which will bring up the Process task duration screen:
I see, thanks for the answer sir. I did tick the box to activate the process task duration, but it seems that they want me to send a simple notification at the notification box which displays records of the data every hour. So what I did was i made a seperate table that stores the logs of the unfinished scheduling processes because it seems that ReqProcessList table does not save any data inside of it. I displayed the table in the notification tab. Is there any way to trigger a timer or some code to update this value every hour?
Thanks in advance to those people replying to this post.
