We use GP2010 and have been experiencing a random problem with entering Purchasing Transaction entries
We've been seeing this :
(Please excuse my crude redaction).
What you can see in the top line of this distribution report is that we seem to have an originating credit in Yen, with actual reporting currency credit in GBP with it using a 1-1 currency translation. The system is then spitting out a very big rounding error (which is how we spotted the problem).
Worse still, entering the same numbers again does not lead to the same results - one of 'those' errors !
Anyone else seen any similar behavior or have ideas for a fix ?
I've now got my finance team checking every journal line from a transaction entry before allowing them to be posted, but that's a damning indictment of a financial system and will be a joy to try to explain to our auditors !
Cheers, Alan

and exchange rate details on the same transaction :
I also checked that all the two accounts involved were set up for JPY and they were; they wouldn't be accepted at the point of trying to save the transaction if they weren't.
Cheers, A.
In originating currency it looks like this :
and in reporting currency (GBP) it looks like this :

What does the purchase transaction itself look like and what is the exchange rate being used on the transaction?
