Values in report differs when run twice, please suggest?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We have our AOS server and DB servers on different time zones.

Because of that ,when a record is created there is a gap of 2.5 hrs between AX and DB values.

When we are running a report, first time it was taking the record from AX and when run for second time, its taking records from DB for the same query.

For Ex:

rec1 is created at  7 PM and in db it will be stored as 4.30 PM
rec2 is is created at  10 PM and in db it will be stored as 7.30 PM
when report is run for time range 7 PM to 8 PM

for 1st time it gives 1st rec1
when run second time it gives rec2
after we set to default and run again it will give me 1st rec1

we always want to display rec1 in the report.

Is there any way to do this.

Thanks in Advance,

Neeharika

    Hi Praveen.

Yes,we are using utc format only.

Are you saying while saving in the db,the record will take the AX server timezone?

    Thanks in Advance,

Are you using the UTC format, so that system knows the timezone you are in and data is saved appropriately in the database.
