I untracked a calendar event in Outlook, however, CRM is retaining the activity record. Is this by design?
Other CRM systems I’ve worked with would alert the user if they would like to untrack/keep or untrack/delete the activity from CRM.
OK, if you want to delete the record in the activity timeline, then you need to click the other button for "delete". If you click on the "untrack" button the addin will stop tracking any changes you do to the record in Outlook, but the activity record in D365 will remain.

1.Which type of Outlook? Desktop
2.If mobile or desktop, what version? v2105 (Build 14026.20308)
3.If desktop which addin are you using? The D365 App for Outlook addin
4.If mobile, what OS (Android or iOS)? N/A
5.Did you use "set regarding" or just "track"? Set Regarding
