I am reviewing the improvements in the October update of D365 Marketing with regard to the segmentation user experience, as described here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365-release-plan/2019wave2/dynamics365-marketing/improved-segmentation-experience
In the section "Feature details", it says:
"A new views selector that lets you filter the contacts list while browsing segment members".
I interpret this as that there will be a view selector available from the "Members" tab of a live segment, allowing me to filter the members. I have checked in an environment that is updated with the October update, but I can not see such as view selector. Is this not part of the update, or am I misunderstanding the functionality?
Rgds,
Andreas
Hi Adner,
As per my understanding, the feature may refers to:
Static segment is similar to static marketing list which targets at contacts.
In static contacts marketing list, when we add memeber into the list,
we could only select contact records from limit views.
While in static segment, it gives us filter to query contact records with specific criteria:
which is similar to dynamic marketing list members filter querying:
Thus we could query contacts by dynamic filter when creating a static segment, it would be better than selecting records from some static views.
You could open a support ticket for help if my thought above may not be correct.
