2016 documentation

Posted on by 3
Hi
I wanted to get any detailed documentation and guide on D365 CRM 2016 config, customisation.
I tried looking online but couldn't find guides, certification and general help docs etc, similar to ones that were available earlier for reference and study etc (eg guides, docs, etc)
its been deprecated but hopefully the content can still be accessed. On- premise option would be greatly helpful
any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hey!

Sure.  On https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/deployment-administrators-guide/hh699726(v=crm.8) you have some basic information like configuring HTTPS, authentication, etc.

If you're looking for Business Configuration, then you should point to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/administering-dynamics-365/dn531153(v=crm.8)?redirectedfrom=MSDN, where you have data about adding currencies, business units, apply your own logo and change colours, as well as editing forms, on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/administering-dynamics-365/dn531158(v=crm.8).

    Hey!

Before delving into CRM 2016, please be aware that D365 CRM 2016 (or version 8.2) is mostly outdated, and only has extended support until 2026.  YOu can read more on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/dynamics-crm-2016-dynamics-365.

Installation guidelines are available at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/deployment-administrators-guide/hh699776(v=crm.8).  Beyond this, any other documentation would be unofficial or outdated.
