Production - Calculate Consumption based on finished quantity

Posted on by 22

Dear all,

we are using production orders in Business Central.

While using the Production Journal we recognized that the field "Consumption Quantity" is always calculated based on the field "Quantity" from the Production Order.

Is there any possibility that the "Consumption Quantity" will be calculated based on the field "Finished Quantity"?

In our case, there has been produced fewer items than expected. To avoid that the employees have to calculate manually the consumed quantity any time this happens, it would be great if the "consumption quantity" could be calculated based on the finished goods.

Thanks in advance

Hi, if you use, for consumed items,  a flushing method = backward . The consumed quantity of components will be in line with the finished quantity of the finished goods. ( the real quantity you declare in the production journal).

And more, il you use routing link codes, your components will be consumed on the right operation and not at the end of the work order.

    Hope it could help you.
