Hi,

I want to delete all expired inventory batches with no open transactions/quantities, is there any way to do the bulk cleanup for batches with no quantities.

    Hy Zeeshan,

yes there is a function inside the inventory counting journal, here you can Create lines using "Expired batches".

This makes a selection in the desired warehouse and inserts the lines with expired date into the journal. Then you can correct the quantities inside the list or "open in export" to bulk edit the lines.

    Hi Andreas,

I follow the same steps as per your suggestion, I am able to insert lines in the counting journal by selecting Expired batches however I am not able to delete batches. I can only count from this screen but not able to delete expired batches.

    Hy Zeeshan,

as you want to delete the expired batches the financial value needs to set to zero. This is done by die counting journal (set counted qty = 0) as it is posted as defined in journal setup.

The onhand sum should be 0 now after posting the journal. If there are still lines for this batch in inventory onhand list with qty=0 may by the periodic inventory batch "Onhand entries cleanup" could remove this, but I'm not complete sure at this point.

    Hi Andreas,

Inventory on hand list already contains 0 quantity in batches, I just need to bulk delete them instead of deleting them 1 by 1. I already checked "Onhand entries clean up" but the results are not the same as expected.

    Hi Zeeshan,

In checking, it appears there is not a way to bulk delete these.

If you get a chance, would you be able to submit this on the Ideas portal; and post a link here for others to vote for this?
