Chart is using wrong Horizontal (Category) Axis for colors

Posted on by 9
I have a number of charts using two Horizontal (Category) Axis, e.g. stacked/clustered column/bar charts.

Recently, the charts started rendering with the colors based (correctly) off of the second category in the legend, but the FIRST category on the actual chart.

E.g.

In the chart designer it seems fine:

Anyone else experiencing this and have a solution?
I figure I can probably go in and edit xml's to fix, but this is across the board and has impacted a large number of existing charts.

Thanks
Craig

Thank you EmmaC, that saves me the trouble of raising a ticket myself!
Hopefully a fix will roll-out soon.

I am also seeing the same issue. After raising a ticket with Microsoft they have confirmed a number of customers have reported the same. The issue is related to the April release wave updates rolled out last week. They weren't able to give any more specific details about the cause, but they are applying a general fix over the weekend which should hopefully resolve this

We are also seeing this same issue since a few days ago. This is 100% a bug because the legend no longer matches the chart colours. It makes stacked column charts completely useless. I can't believe that this hasn't been resolved already when it is clearly affecting many environments.

    Hi,

I did not reproduce your problem in my testing either, but I encountered a new issue where the revenue from the Lost state opportunity record does not show up.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Craig,

Just checked and it's showing correctly on my side (see below).  I tried several formats and could not replicate your issue, sorry. Maybe asking Microsoft to look into your environment(s).
