The iterator does not designate a valid element when creating new sales order line for a specific item number only

Hi Everyone,

Anybody has an idea this error "The iterator does not designate a valid element." means in AX 2012? It doesn't have either a label ID when I tried to search it in labels.

I tried to debug but I can't really find where this error comes. This error just pops out after executing on this standard method ttsNotifyPostBegin() from Class Application.

This error appears when I am adding a new sales order line and it only happens for a specific Item number only. Though I cannot determine why because it seems it is just a generic error that comes out from nowhere. 

I also tried to look for some forums with same error on this but none from it has the answered root cause.

I hope someone can help me even just a hint on why this error comes out or what triggers this.

    Hi knives77,

    It seems relate to Maps or MapEnumerators not working in your system.Did you set null any enumerator of Sets or Maps before made a change on it? If the enumerator is not restored to null a remove operation to a Map throw the error: The enumerator does not designate a valid element.

    Thanks Judy, you are right that it was because of the enumerator. The root cause was because of a data issue and the design on which the enumerator initialized a value  cannot handle this data issue scenario, and it leaves with no value.

    Calling enumerator.current with no value at all triggers this error.
