Form Performance issues Options

Hi ,

I have a D365 FO form Projtable on which there are many 7 display methods on the grid as well as there are around 8 real controls which are being populated from the activate method based on the record selected.

The problem is that the client is facing performance issues which I think is obvious because of the many display methods.

Now since this current customization was done previously by a different vendor  I would like to understand what all options do I have to change it.

Mostly the performance is when the form is being loaded .

Can I restrict the form to load only 100 records initially and when the user scrolls down then it will start fetching other records as well and also it should show the records in case the project is being inputted for filteration.

There is no database level customization .Is there a way to see the projtable being loaded without any other customization to check the customization impact on the performance.

    Hi Vicky1234,

You can check the contents of these display methods and probably replace them (if possible) by adding a data source of view which will do the computing on SQL instead of on the form itself.

How are these 8 real controls added? Is it a field on the actual table?

    Hi Vicky,

To find the performance issue, use the trace parser tool. You can use this tool to better understand the x++ class stack and database calls.
