Error while generating a PO from Sales order

Hi,

'The sales ship to address id doesn't match the PO ship to address ID'. This error is appearing when we click on generate option.

We compare both ID's and its same. Basically the PO generator option is copying the sales ship to address ID to the PO. This error is stopping us to move forward with PO generation.

Any ideas ?

    Hi,

I just entered a drop-ship order in both versions 2016 and 2015, generated a PO for the item, and it grabbed the correct ship to address from the order. What steps did you go through when you created the PO?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

In this case the drop ship item is a component of a kit. So, I do purchase option from Actions button. Select vendor, shipping method and check the order details and click generate. It copies all other details from the PO. This is working for every other PO we generate. This particular one is giving this issue.

    Hi Ajit,

Since I can't put a Kit on a Drop-Ship order, I'm not sure I'm getting this right. I put one of the kit component items on my drop-ship Order and it pulled the address the same as the other items. How are you specifically indicating that this should be a Drop-Ship PO on a component shortage? I tried 'back order all' for the kit components, but the PO created was still a standard PO.
