Lead to Opportunity Business Flow not working after updating to 8.2

Hi all,

We just updated Dynamics CRM 2016 On-premise  to 8.2.

Suddenly the Lead to opportunity business flow is not working. First of all, the field "Stage category" is blank. And if we go to "next stage" it remains blank.

I have tried to reactivate all workflows. I have checked that (from previous posts) that it has unique name etc. Still not working.

Please advise.

    Is this a OnChange trigger on the StageID field of the Lead record?

    Well that might be the problem since more than one BPF can be active on a record, which makes the value of the stageid (on the lead) trivial.

    You could add a workflow to the BPF that triggers on exit/entry of a process stage or use business rules to set the value based on the condition:

    I am not the designer of this. It is triggered by a change in Process Stage (StageID), and then set in the value ..

    Did you add a custom field Stage Category to the Lead entity? On what trigger and how is this field updated?

    Hi Stefan

    We do have access to the BPF via security roles and the entity is also in the solution.

    Still the Stage Category field is not updating...

    Hi Azillion,

    In version 8.2 the structure of the business process flows (BPF) has changed. For instance, you need to set privileges to the BPF's via security roles.

    The best practice is to add the custom entity that is created when the BPF is activated to the solution when deploying it to another environment.
