How to query bounced Marketing emails?

Hi,

Is there a way to query bounced marketing emails with Advanced Find?

Currently you can see bounced emails per marketing email in Marketing App, but I would like to query this with Advanced find to fix the data easier. It would also be easier for those users, who do not use Marketing but have account responsibilities.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply! I actually think we already solved it by using the data in Blobstorage and used PowerAutomate to edit contacts based on the blobstorage data. However, I believe blobstorage is a paid service that not all customers have and therefore your solution might be more handy for those who do not have access to blobstorage.

    I know this is an old post but I ran into the same issue where we want to clean up bounced emails automatically as they bounce. No need to continue to try and send them... etc.   We used a Dynamic Segment with a Behavior Block of "Email hard bounced".  With that as my dataset we used a Power Automate to query that Dynamic Segment and we remove the email address, created a task on the contact and put the old email in there for a visible reason to sales why the email was removed.   We also had flags set so we don't keep trying to clean the same email.

    Hi,

    Yes, exporting the insights data is now possible to do with the new early release feature of the dynamics marketing app (docs.microsoft.com/.../export-data-excel-further-analysis). You will need to optin the organization for early upgrade and update the dynamics marketing app but this new functionality will allow you to have the insights data on excell which should help with the reports.

    As for the information on the insights for the emails, you have the contact name, email address and timestamp.

    Thanks for your reply.

    So basically, this means an Excel report outside of Dynamics? Also, the bounce data on Insights -> Delivery does not contain Contact Owner name. Which means a lot of work to achieve a report that serves our needs.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately the information regarding the marketing emails are stored on insights for the marketing app and this information is only accesible through that same app.

    The suggested way to do this would be for someone that as access to the app to retrieve and develop an reported based on the data stored on the insights for the emails that were bounched so that it can be provided to Sales.

    Hi,

    If its not possible to create a report or use Advanced Find, then preferably yes.

    We have a large organization, where only a few people per department work with Marketing. They need to be able to report back to Sales if/when emails bounce back, so that sales can take action on fixing the data on their accounts/contacts.

    Currently we have several hundred bounces, because the segments for emails are large and so is the number of contacts in our CRM. Its not possible to manually fix by marketing people, it needs to be pushed back to sales. And for this I need a report/query of a sort.

    Unfortunately there isn’t a solution for it currently. Advanced find works purely on CRM entities and not behavioral data.

    Could you throw more light on the scenario? Do you need bounced email analytics on the accounts tab as to how many emails sent to the contacts of a particular account bounced?
