What happen after posting Purchase Invoice in Navision 2018?

Hi,

From my understanding, after I create and post Sales Order > It will go to Posted Sales Invoice and Posted Sales Shipments.

If that is the case what happens if I go directly to Sales Invoice and post it? Where does it go?

Under what situation will we go to sales invoice directly?

Josh,

You are correct that when a user posts a Sales Order, it will create the Posted Sales Shipment, when you click Post Shipment, and then a Posted Sales Invoice, when you click Post Invoice (or you click Post Ship & Invoice). Now if you use a Sales Invoice, when you click Post, you are not given a choice since the document will produce the Posted Shipment document automatically. You do not get a chance to apply a 2-step process, Ship then Invoice, in case you have internal controls or segregated duties.

In each case, Sales Order or Sales Invoice, you will create a Posted Sales Shipment.
