Hi guys hope you are doing well.
I need your assistance. I'm now struggling with this issue. It is linked to the Dynamics Excel Add-In. It worked great before, but suddenly it displays this problem for the last ten days.
Error: could not resolve endpoints. Please check network and try again. Detail: ClientAuthError: openid_config_error: Could not retrieve endpoints. Check your authority and verify the .well-known/openid-configuration endpoint returns the required endpoints. Attempted to retrieve endpoints from: https://example.com/.well-known/openid-configuration
Hi Ahsan Akhtar,
Strangely enough, 13 days ago there was an issue with the Open-In-Excel authentication, experienced by a lot of people.
community.dynamics.com/.../openinexcel-authentication-broken.
The next day it was solved, so there is definitely some changes being deployed in the background. I do believe it is on the Excel/Security side and not D365FO, because my environment had no changes. Firstly do the basics that all will suggest, make sure everything is up to date.
Kind regards,
Jaco
I am also looking for a resolution to this error. I have reports from other customer as well. Please keep the thread posted if you find anything. Jacovdm3 I could not open the link you shared. Can you explain how you can confirm that this is on the Excel/Security side and not D365 F&O? I am from Dynamics and I am struggling with this error
Good day..

Hi,
Apologies for the broken link. This should work.
community.dynamics.com/.../openinexcel-authentication-broken
This will not be of much help to you, as the issue resolved itself. Is this on prem D365FOs?
yes it is on prem D365FO
BR, rok
We're experiencing the same issue. Also on prem.
Upgrade your ADFS to 2019 it works after the upgrade.
Already completed. But I'm still having trouble with this. Could you please propose another solution? After the upgrade of ADFS 2019.
