Updating item pricelist directly from accepted quotation

Good afternoon!

Hope somebody has some insight into the below:

I have an unusual client requirement.

The client needs to be able to mark a quotation as /accepted by the client/, and when they mark it accepted, they need the item price from the quotation to automatically update the item price in the price list to the quotation price.

I have advised the client that this is not the usual /logical order/ for price management, but their process is that the accepted quotation price becomes the new default price for sales going forward.

I realise this is not standard functionality but do you think it will be possible to write a /script/ in AL to perform this task, and is it a very long/difficult process?

Would appreciate feedback

Many thanks
Richard

Updating item pricelist directly from accepted quotation
    Hi,
This should be possible and a little tricky. The customer may have an existing price list, so you may need to either update the existing price list or update the end date for old records and create a new price list record.
Alternatively, when they accept the quote using new customized action, you can show the option to update or create a new price list.
Additionally, you need to consider all key fields, like Currency, UOM and quantity in price list.

    Thanks

Hi, this doesn't seem to be the first time I've seen this question, and no matter.
    This doesn't sound very difficult.
    1. Add a status
    2. Only some users can click to accept (if customers are allowed to click, API may be required)
    3. When the quotation becomes accepted, update the price again. (Pay attention to whether it is an old price module or a new one)

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.
