Fields missing in import templates

Hi

I'm looking into using the Templates for Data Import in CRM 2013. I exported the template for Account. At first glance it looks OK. But when you dive into the details you start noticing that standard fields are missing. Ex. the Account Rating field. I compared the field to other fields of similar type (ex. Category) which are included in the template. I used the Metadata Browser. I was not able to see any difference. I tried adding a custom field. That was included without any problems.

So my question is. What determines if a field is included in the Import template?

I got download template for import. Can some one let me know if we have any option to change the sequence of field  in the imported template .xls.   I have added a new field called "Lead type" which is showing at the last in the import excel. I want it to be placed adjacent to  Lead Source.

Hey Aileen, I have the same problem today. The problem is: I have the fields included in the form I can see. But they are not in the template. What could be the problem here?

Thanks Aileen for your answer to the same question I had, and particularly for your detailed explanation here:

    Hi Thomas,

You just need to include your required fields to the entity Forms.

The template will only show fields that are in the CRM Entity Form, not view, not all of the fields.

    Thank you.

Following are the fields that are included when you click on the "download template for import" .

    1. All the fields that are part of published forms.

    2. All the required fields of an Entity.
