I am looking for a function that can link an old item version to new version so that the MRP engine will consider old inventory before requeting replenishment of the new item version.

I have the same question (0)

    Hy,

you can setuo this on the released Product within the /Sell/ Fasttab.
Define a rule (Never, nothing in inventory or Always) when to use the "new" item instead of the old one.
Then select the new item Number and if needed the product dimentions.

    Hope this helps.

    Herzliche Grüße / kind regards,

Did you consider to use alternative product?
