Hi,

When I copy & paste data from any RMS reports into Excel, I'm seeing few items details are not appearing in the same line. They are jumbled. See below for sample.

Itemlookup Code Description Department Category OnHand Supplier Name
1002342 Pencil XXX YYY 123 ABD
1003434-00 Pen ADK DFD
123 HEJC

Much appreciate if some one tell me what could have gone wong and how to fix it.

Thanks for your valueable time & suggestions.

Regards,
Sam.

    Hi Ryan,

Many thanks for your prompt response.

Good news is, I have managed to find the root cause and fix it myself after a detailed study of item details.

Problem was, the description had a hidden Space & a "Carriage Return" key strokes ( i do not know how) at the end which caused the line to break after "Description" when I copied the data from report as table and paste it in Excel.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Cheers!

    Sam,

How is you report grouped when you do your copy?

Also, have you tried exporting to a CSV file from your report?  You will have to be careful opening the report as Excel will clip leading zeros from product codes unless the file is opened properly but it works well if you know how to get around this issue!
