Hi,
I have helped a client to setup VAT Posting and made a mistake on one of the rows. I set "Normal VAT" but it should be "Reverse Charge VAT".
Now my question is - how can I change the VAT Calculation Type on this row?
Thanks,

This is now solved and the solution was much easier than expected - it is possible to change the VAT Calculation Type through configuration package. I just turned off the validation for that field and then it accepted to change the value.
Thanks, we will do that.
Actually there is only one single row that needs to be changed in the VAT entries.
Just to be 100% certain - after we have changed that entry, will we be able to change the VAT Setup entry through BC?
Yes can you change that by code, but check it does not effect more to your posted data.
Yes, I am the functional consultant (although beginner in BC) so I know exactly what I want to change.
I just need to know what is possible to do by code and a point in the right direction on how to do it.
Is it possible to change the VAT entries? That would be great.
When that is done, will then BC allow to change the VAT Setup line as I am trying to do on the image or must that also be done by code?
Thanks,
Jim
Actually there are two person involvements in this case, first person a business analysis or functional who can really analysis what are the entries has been posted with this code, is it ok to change it by code? So after his advise you need to ask your developer to change the code.
Hi Nitin,
OK, so it could be solved with code?
If you could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. We have developers but need to know what to do.
Is it possible to:
- Change the VAT entries (that were created with the wrong VAT Posting Setup)?
- Change the VAT Posting Setup line shown on the image?
Many thanks,
Jim
Hi,
As per the error message, you already have used this code in some of the VAT entries, so in this case its impossible to do the changes now without help of your Developer.
Thanks.
