Incorrect Project Accounting Notes Showing on a PA billing invoice

We have a situation with a GP 2013 client that is getting the wrong projecting time sheet notes showing up on valid timesheets during a Project Accounting Invoice build function for time and material projects. Client is having to open the time sheets on the billing invoice and redo the notes to match the time sheets. These notes are showing up from projects posted years ago and we've run every utility possible.

Anybody have any thoughts. We've been unable to solve it and there was a similar issue in tech note SP update in Version 8.0 but not the same release.

I don't have a resolution for you but it sounds like a note index issue. My guess is there is some disconnect in the note index used on the timesheet perhaps, that is a valid note index but it actually references a different note.

What I might suggest is try to trace one through - find a timesheet with a valid note. Find the note index # in the table. Look in SY03900 to find that notes' text to confirm that note # and text are in the notes table. Then do the billing and see what the note index # is on the billing line for that item/record. My guess is it's a different number, which may be a valid #, and reference some other note (as you say, from years ago).

I'm sorry I don't have a solution but this might help in troubleshooting it at least.
