Created a report in Management Reporter in which the Row Dimension is using Account Categories for Link to Financial Dimensions. This will allow for any modifications to the Chart of Accounts in GP. The accounts will automatically be reflected in the properly location on the financial report.

When exporting the report results to Excel it brings in the whole financial account string. Would like it to only export the Main Segment or Segment 2. How would this be configured in Management Reporter so that only the Main segment is exported.

RE: Management Reporter - Account Category

At the account detail level of a report, MR is designed to show the full account string of every account that makes up the financial detail row you drilled into. In Excel, the financial detail levels have a -F and the account detail levels have a -A on the tabs. If you are seeing the detail you want at the financial level, you may only want to generate/export that detail. You can do this by switching the Detail Level in the Report Definition to Financial.
