ISSUE RESOLVED please see thread posts-GP2010 Integration Manager RPC erro

Client machine was successfully running integrations in the morning and in the afternoon started getting "The RPC server is unavailable". I took a look and uninstalled/reinstalled IM. Same error on her machine.

Dynamics goes away, the IM window comes up AND JUST SITS THERE. I have to shut it down from task manager. It's running on an XP machine.

What causes this and does the service pack for IM for GP2010 fix this error? I can run IM's fine from my development machine.

    Hi

    As I understand, You have Dynamics GP opened and trying to run the integrations after which Dynamics GP screen goes away while IM returns the error saying RPC server is unavailable. While this happens, Go to Task Manager and instead of killing IM, first kill dynamics.exe in processes tab. After that exit IM. Then Log in to Dynamics GP and then IM. See if this happens.

    And that doesn't work. I go back in and the same thing happens again. I have to kill IM from task manager. No sales integrate. Also, happens the same whether I "open integration" or run it from integration manager. The integrations run fine from my laptop.

    Hi Pete,

    This is a issue we found out about on Friday due to Windows update KB 2543367. I did uninstall this update on my machine and IM worked fine HOWEVER we haven't yet tested this fully on our end. Once we do we will post information on CustomerSource/PartnerSource.

    Well, if I did my search right, that has to do with daylight savings time outside of the US. The KB is not installed either on my box or on the problem box. Is that the correct windows update?

    Hi Pete,

    We have heard that back from many customers that they do not have that hotfix installed. Our Development team is looking into a fix right now. I will update the thread when they have let us know.

    Starting late last week,  some Integration users have been having this RPC error.   We have turned off automatic updates on the PCs that are still working.  Waiting on on your update.

    As previously mentioned we are aware of the issue and our Development team is working on this. You should still be able to run integrations successfully you will just need to end IM in Task Manager after the integration runs. I will update this thread with the fix when we are informed.

    To all of you experiencing this issue, are you running Integration Manager in a Terminal Server environment? If so, take a look at my article dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.com/.../im-troubleshooting-rpc-errors-when.html. It also contains additional troubleshooting issues besides the ones mentioned above. I understand that Microsoft is looking into a related issue, but if you have not applied the Daylight Savings hotfix, then it's worth taking a look at my article.

    Acutally Mariano we have found out it is not due to the Daylight Savings hotfix. This is affecting all IM users.
