How create a button shipment in Job page?

Hi Community,

I have an inquiry about shipments on Job page.

I have a project in which the sum of items and resources in the planning line will be a final product like an industrial machine.

I am concerned about how I can create a button to ship the final product to the customer.

If you know how I will appreciate it.

I try to follow the steps of the shipment button in the sales order but in Jobs, we don't have Posted Job Shipments.

Thank you

Jobs does not produce a Finished Good.  The end result of a Job is a collection of Costs, usually compared against revenue.  This means there is nothing to physically ship to the Customer.  A lot of clients who utilize Jobs will build the freight/shipping costs into their Job Planning Lines to account for them on the Job totals.

If you need to communicate the shipping to a freight carrier, you could create a Positive Item Journal Adjustment to "produce" the Item into your Inventory, then use a Sales Order to Ship the Item to the Customer.  Keep in mind, base Business Central isn't interfacing to carriers unless you are using an AppSource shipping extension.  It might be easier, depending on volume, to communicate to the freight carrier manually and keep all the information contained in the Job.

Your partner should be able to assist you either way you approach handling this.
