When creating an eMail (activity) in Dynamics 365...
Both the user A and user C have send-of-behalf-of permission in Exchange for the mail account B. What am I missing?
It doesn't seem to be related to user C having to tick the personal "Allow other Dynamics 365 users to send mail on your behalf" because the admin user can already send on behalf of user B. So, I'm thinking it is some other permission within the custom Dynamics role that is missing... but which one?
Hello Cymorg,
1.Navigate to Settings and then access Security.
2.Click Security Roles.
3. Open the security role assigned to the user who is having issues with sending email as another user.
4.. Click the Business Management tab.
5. Verify the user has the "Send Email as Another User" privilege.
It turns out you need Read and Append permissions on Queue
Yep, I have a test env. I have given user C sys admin and it can list the mail account but when it is not sys admin it can't. It seems my custom role is missing some permission but as these permissions are a poorly document nightmare I'm stumbling around trying to figure out which permission(s) are missing.
Hello Cymorg,
I hope you've got a test environment. If so try to change the role of user C to sys admin, and see what the results are. Also give some more info about what you already checked.
