is it possible to set up an item so everytime you put it on a salesorder line it will multiple by 12?

    Hi, just adding some info.

    As mentioned by several experts above, this requires customization.
    However, you can disable Default Item Quantity on the Sales & Receivables page, let users to manually fill in the quantity each time.

    Here is a simple example in BC:

    Settings for “Quantity” and “Qty. to Ship” in Sales Order – Default Quantity to Ship and Default Item Quantity

    Not without customization.

    One way is to make a new unit of measure to represent multiplication by 12, but it may not be what you want.

    I think you need to customise the solution or check if you can do with item unit of measure so that you can put 12 in quantity per measure field.
