Userid and Active Directory

Posted on by 10

Hi,

I have a situation that I need to test out the workflow in the testing environment. However, I face the difficulty is that I am unable to perform the test all by myself as the travel requisition, expenses will flow according to the workflow hierarchy. This is due the userid is tie to the window AD. So question is how do we disconnect the window ad in the D365 while still maintain the employee profile, userid etc in the testing environment.

Appreciate for any information provided.

Thanks

Best Regards

James

    Hello James,

I can see that your concern is to be able to carry out the test all by yourself.

Here is the work around : Mapping your user ID to different emmployee record one at a time. Say we have employee A and employee B(line manager)

When you submit the workflow and a work item gets created, you can remove the employee A from the user and map employee B to the same here to be able to review the document and approve.

    Hi JAMESTAM,

As far as I am aware, this is impossible. You have to be authenticated.
