RE: Problem communicating with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 On-premise" error occurs when configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Outlook

The error "Attempting IFD (https) org service connection." "IFD (https) org service connection failed." indicates that your configuration might be wrong.

Have you set up claims authentication and the IFD mode?

    Similar issue here:

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/276610

    but no solution until now.

    another interesting artcle is here:

    https://us.hitachi-solutions.com/blog/do-i-need-ifd-in-my-microsoft-crm-environment/

Also this article might indicate that IFD is required although it's for App for Outlook:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/outlook-app/v8/deploy-dynamics-365-app-for-outlook#to-deploy-to-dynamics-365-on-premises-users

So I guess you need to setup IFD correctly:

    Hi Abarao,

I need to install the language pack in the server or client.

Can you give the URL to download the pack please.

Are you able to open the Discovery URL in the browser without a problem? Are you using https or http for your CRM server? In IIS the CRM Website should only have https binding set.
