On the shortage Consumption Worksheet I have code in place which produces an error when you enter SHOPFLOOR into both From Zone code and From Bin Code.

However if you were to select SHOPFLOOR from the dropdown (If valid SHOPFLOOR would be shown in the bin contents page)

Then the previous validation is ignored and the fields are populated with SHOPFLOOR and no error message. How can I prevent this?

    Hi Lewishhh,

    There are many approaches for this. One approach is to create a boolean that activates when you do Dropdown(on Dropdown then it will be TRUE Dont forget to Update the record). 
    Now you can use this Boolean value in onvalidate trigger(If else).

    Hi,

    As per your code, if the value is SHOPFLOOR, then the error message will popup in Shortage Consumption Worksheet OnValidate().  Try moving your error messages to OnModify() trigger and check?
