Dashboard Error - Access is Denied

Hello all,

A client using D365 for sales online has had an issue with their dashboards displaying the below error to certain users. The first time it had popped up, I had suspected a user had tried to add a Power BI tile to the dashboard, and so others couldn't access it. That did turn out to be the case. However, once she deleted the tile, the error persisted. The end solution was to rebuild the dashboard, and the all users could access it again.

I had thought this was a single occurrence, but now the client is reporting that another dashboard is giving the same error to two new users. This dashboard is accessible by other users, but not the two most recently added. The only weirdness about their circumstance is that the owner of the dashboard shared the dashboard with the new users before their security privileges were set. That shouldn't affect this kind of error however.

In both cases, users tried changing browsers, clearing their cache and cookies, and still no fix. I'd rather not have to rebuild another dashboard, and if this is a deeper bug, I'd like to get that fixed for my client. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is it user dashboard or System dashboard.

If it is a user dashboard then owner of this dashboard need to share it with other users.

If it is a system dashboard then Check that user's security role enabled for dashboard or not.

It is a user created dashboard. I've verified the dashboard and all elements have been shared correctly. Some users still receive this error.

You need to share charts and views as well.

    Yes, all verified as shared!

Non sharing of an element gives a different error than this one. Typically says "You do not have enough privileges to access the Microsoft Dynamics 365 object, or perform the requested operation."

This error says access is denied to the entire dashboard, even when it and all elements are shared.

It seems issue of privileges, Just compare security role privileges of users who are not able to access this dashboard with other users.

In the first case, I have two users with identical security roles. One (the creator) gets no error message. The other (who was able to see it previously) gets the error.

In the second case, 12 users have access to the dashboard, and the admin created it. All users have identical security roles. Two newest users are unable to see the dashboard, other 10 can.

Give admin role to those 2 users to check that there is issue with privilege or not.

If they are still not able to view dashboard by admin role then you have to check share access of that dashboard.

Ok, When I give them admin roles, they can access it fine. But I can't figure out what privilege (or lack thereof) might be causing the issue.

They all have privileges for User Dashboard, and User UI, etc.
