Missing Tabs

Hi,

We're currently looking at implementing CRM 2011 as an upgrade from our existing CRM 4.0 installation. We've created a virtual server to host the test environment and ported over a copy of our data from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011... all looks good with the exceptions of some missing tabs.

On the main Accounts form we use to have a number of tabs containing information on our clients. When we open an account entry inder CRM 2011, they seem to have all gone missing.

I'm sure this is just down to our lack of knowledge on the changes in 2011, but if someone could provide me with a pointer I'd be most grateful.

Best Regards

Are the fields available in the form?

CRM 2011 changes the way the tabs are displayed.  They are included in the same form page (longer vertical scroll).  There is tab navigation link on the upper left side of each form to quickly jump to each tab area.

The fileds that were on the old CRM 4.0 tabs are still in there, well the attributes I created to locate within the space on the tabs are there, but I can't see where they've gone. I appreciate the layout / display is now different, but looking on an existing account I can't see any reference to Tabs. If I scroll down an existng account, I can see any sections called Tabs.

If I edit the form I can see that I can insert tabs as either single or double columns, is this what you're refering to. Doesn't seem as well organised to have this information within a longer record field rather than being organised as they were.

Do you think I'll need to create these in this new format again?

With the upper left tab links - it is pretty fast o navigate to the tab area - it takes a few times to get used to it vs. clicking on the 4.0 tabs.

I would go over the form customization and update/edit/relabel the tabs to the way you like going forward.
