Security issue is not allowing users to print or post

We have a test instance of GP2015 that copied over the users and security from a GP2010 instance.  As we are testing, I am finding users getting the error "You don't have security privileges to open this window.  Contact your system administrator for assistance."  These are posting and printing tasks that the enduser can perform without any issues in GP2010.  I have checked their roles and tasks and it appears that the tasks required to print/post are checked.  If I drill down on the task to ensure the specific reports are checked off as well, I see that they are.

I set the user to "Poweruser" temporarily to test and they could perform the task without error.

I have this issue with AP Check batch building, AP Series posting, and PO printing.

I am open to suggestions!

    I fully agree with Heather...

I've been using the former Support Debugging Tool (and now GP Power Tools) since its very first days of launch and never could work without it anymore.. I missed it a lot during my testing phase for GP 2015 & R2 while waiting on the new release of GPPT (since development for SDT has stopped after 2013).

You have to keep in mind that when upgrading from GP 2010 to 2015, there are new roles and tasks added to GP, some of they may even be missing during the upgrade, as there was a bug in the scripts.

Check this link on how to fix it :

The best way I know how to troubleshoot security issues in Dynamics GP is to invest in GP Power Tools (formerly known as the Support Debugging Tool).  It has a security profiler that makes it easy to diagnose any issue like this.

For US$365 per year (at the moment), it is a tool that has a huge amount of functionality - the security troubleshooting in my opinion is the best. You can get it from Merkorma:  www.mekorma.com/.../gp-power-tools.aspx

It is well worth the investment.  You will probably spend more than the purchase price just trying to figure it out.

    Cheers
