Management Reporter - Comments, Trees, Sharepoint

We publish links to our variance review reports (which we've had to break apart since RU 7 or 8, because we can't use budget and transactional drill down in the same report) to a Sharepoint library.  The reports are working, managers can review them and save their comments, close the web viewer and they do see the comments when they return.

The problem we're encountering is that only the managers who entered the comments see them.  Access to this particular set of reports is controlled by a reporting tree, the finance group has access to the entire report, while the individual department managers only see the data for their departments.

Any thoughts?

    I upgraded to CU8 (2.1.8001.0) for a different case so I decided to repeat the test using only the web viewer. I set up a report with tree security and then left comments on various sections with both an administrator and a designer user. No matter which user I logged in as, I was able to see the comments for all users for the units of the report I had access to.

    I would suggest logging a case for your issue as there may be something with the report design causing the behavior you are seeing.

    Looks like we're on MR 2012 version 2.1.6041.36, which if I understand is RU6.  I thought we were on 7 or 8, but it would appear not.  

    I was able to get one of our other users who has the full viewer client to insert a test comment into the report and I can see that, the one caveat being, he's another user with access to the full report. However, currently the managers outside finance only have access through the viewer.

    I was not able to re-create what you described using my environment MR2012 CU7 (2.1.7044.43) and the regular report viewer. I verified by leaving comments on all tree levels as an Administrator and then tested viewing that with Designer, Generator, and Viewer users. For my test, Administrator had access to all levels of the tree and the other users only had access to one.

    What version are you using?

    Does the same thing occur with the regular viewer instead of the web viewer?
