Dear All,
The customer is using Dynamics CRM v8.2 and SQL 2012.
Q1) May I check if a customer needs to have their active BREP in place for the Dynamics CRM migration to cloud?
If yes, does it matter if the BREP is bought from partner A but decide to engage partner B for the migration?
Q2) Can they migrate to cloud directly without upgrade their CRM to the latest version v9.1?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
JMei
Hello,
It's not mandatory to be onboarded to BREP to be qualified for OP2OL migrations. If you are a partner, please nominate your customer using this link: https://aka.ms/op2olnom. Else, email cemigfac@microsoft.com with your details and we will get in touch with you.
Thanks,
Pravin
Hi Pravin,
Thanks so much for the reply and the sharing of the useful information.
For Question #1, I read about BREP under the migration subtopic, and it mentioned that "BREP can also help you to prepare for the future because your company might want to transition from your current on-premises Dynamics solution to Microsoft Dynamics 365. ". So would like to confirm if active BREP is a must for migration.

Hello,
For #2, Yes, you can migrate from 8.2 to online. I did not get your first question.
