How to deploy a new UAT environment in LCS - D365FO

Hi All,

We need one test environment like UAT/SAT in LCS, we know how to deploy the DEV VM, but we are not sure about deploying the new Test environment in LCS.

Please advice.

I would suggest analyzing first if you need a tier 2 environment or wand to deploy another tier 1 environment in which the user can use a test environment. As you already have one UAT, any more tier 2 environments will add additional cost.

As part of the subscription, ideally, your client should have received one PROD + one T2 instance. You can see them on the LCS project home page. You can use the "Configure" button to deploy the VM and name it accordingly.

If you cannot see any option as mentioned above, then you have to reach out to CSP and procure an additional VM and then you will be able to deploy for UAT/SAT purposes.

You can check out the old thread on this question, it's worth noting that as the old thread said, the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) onboarding process needs to be completed before deploying the environment in LCS. Solved: how to deploy environments like DEV or UAT in LCS (dynamics.com)

Purchase an Add-on environment from your CSP, provide them with your D365 tenant and LCS project. When it has been purchased it will appear in you LCS home screen beside your other test & production environments.
