Qualify Lead Experience in On-Premise environment

Hi everyone,

For one of our clients, I want to stop the automatic creation of Contacts when qualifying Leads.

In Online environments, I know the option "Create Account, Contact, and Opportunity records by default upon qualifying a lead" can be unchecked in system settings, as described here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-enterprise/define-lead-qualification-experience

But my client's environment doesn't have this option in system settings under Sales. The environment is an On-Premise environment version 9.0.16.7, should it be possible to find the setting somewhere and disable the automatic creation of Contacts for qualified Leads?

Kind regards

    Hi Florian,

    Thank you for your query

The "Define lead qualification experience" is a fairly new D365 and it is currently not available on the recent versions of D365 On Premise.

For now, this could be achieved on On premise by the use of a custom code.

    Hi Florian,

Please look at the response in this discussion form.

    community.dynamics.com/.../restricting-users-from-creating-an-account-directly-but-allowing-them-to-qualify-leads

You can notice that people have mentioned about writing plugin, using flow and also creating a workflow. Since you are on-prem version, there is no way to use flow (considering you dont have flow license), I wouldn't suggest you with writing a plugin, but creating a workflow would achieve your goals.

    Thanks

    Jay

    Hi Jay,

Thank you for the response. The goal is to be able to qualify leads without automatically creating contacts. How could we use a workflow to accomplish that goal?

    Kind regards,

    Florian
