Move tenant to another tenant in different domain

Move tenant to another tenant in different domains.

As the tenant for my country Paraguay was enabled this year, the clients need to migrate their productive environment from the tenant of Peru (xxx.onmicrosoft.com.) to the tenant of Paraguay (xxx.com.py)

We entered a ticket with the regional partner here in my country, however they told us that we must do this work manually. Here is the question of which is the best option to follow

I await your comments
Thanks you!

    Hi Yunzhu

Following the documentation, it says that Microsoft support performs the transfer, is this so to claim support again?

Does Microsoft copy historical data from its old tenant to the new tenant?

    Best Regards

    Hi Danielle,

I understand, but to migrate the historical data from the old tenant to the current tenant, how would you do it?

    Best Regards

    Ricardo

    Hello,

Your Dynamics partner needs to raise a ticket to Microsoft and we will perform the tenant to tenant migration on your behalf. No data will be lost, the tenant to tenant move typically takes around 1 - 2 hours and we will do this during (your) dark hours / non business hours.

The partner will need to provide Microsoft with a document with the exact details of source and destination tenant, etc. plus a confirmation that you (as the customer) wants us to do this.

    Thank you.
