CRM 2015 Advanced Find sorting limitations

Hi, I wonder if someone can answer a question for me. I've been trying out the Advanced Find features to search through a multitude of emails that have been tracked in CRM. I noticed that you can sort on many fields, but you are not allowed to sort on the From or the To field. Why is this? Unfortunately this is quite a common requirement from customers who would like to sift through thousands of emails based on the sender or the recipient. Is there a way around it?

    Moira,

    Yes you are right..

    It was because those fields, From and To are special fields, with Activity Party type which cannot be sorted in CRM View.

    Workaround for this you can try to copy the value to a new single line of text field every time the Email is created then you can be able to sort by this new field.

    One field for From and another text field for To.
