I am getting below error when I try to install the Word Template for Dynamics GP. Client version of GP: 16.00.0675. Not sure what is cause of this issue.
Any help on ths issue is highly appreciated.

That is an odd one!
I would start off by making sure that you don't have the add-in installed for any version. The easiest way to check this is to just search for GP in Programs and Features. Here you can see I have it installed for GP 2018:
If you have it installed, I would see if your current version works. There is no real need to change the version of the Add-in if you have one working already. If you want a new version, make sure you uninstall whatever one is here first.
If it isn't installed, I would start with skipping the main GP setup.exe to see if its causing problems. You can do this by drilling into the DVD, into the AdProd folder, then further into the BITemplateMapping folder (which is what the Add-in is called, I don't know why!). Here you can use this setup.exe to immediately install the Add-in.
If that doesn't work, I would make sure this install media is local, and not out on a share. Sometimes the files are extracted to be installed, and this movement can get funky with a share involved. I always recommend putting the DVD on the desktop, get the install all complete, then just delete the desktop DVD. This does add some time upfront for the install, but in my experience the install is faster from the local workstation and the time saved during the install makes up for the difference.
