Printing Issues from Checkbook Balance Inquiry

Receiving error when trying to print to screen, file or printer from the Checkbook Balance Inquiry screen.

Error in equation 'trxvoided'

I reviewed the Calculated Field: Voided Flag and it does not seem to be the culprit.

The client is not having issues printing in other inquiry screens.

Their version is GP 2010

Thanks!

    Hi,

You might create a package file from the one you have and then do as Richard said and create a new modified with the unmodified report. Then, create a package file of the unmodified report and compare the two package files. You could use Word for this, or any other software that will identify differences between two files.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

While you are working on the reports always use a local copy. Many of our clients have one computer configured just for that purpose. Then at the end of the day they copy modified reports dictionary back to the shared folder on the server for everyone to use. My guess it this report never upgraded properly so you can revert it back to its original(primary) version by deleting it out of RW and then putting it right back into RW. The layout to which I refer is inside RW. Were some fields moved around and titles entered? If no one remembers the changes just use the new default version and build off that.

    Thank you for the reply.

The client has had this issue starting from when they upgraded to 2010 from GP8. When you state layout changes, do you mean GP layout changes or the clients? The client is unaware of any layout changes they may have made. The local copy of the reports.dic file is not an option since they share reports.

    Thanks!

The simplest way to fix this is to go into Report Writer, make note of whatever the layout changes were and then delete this report and immediately insert if right back into RW. This will restore the original copy. Then make whatever changes are necessary. Make a backup of the REPORTS.DIC file first and do not do this while others are in GP. You do not want to be making changes to the REPORTS.DIC file while others are in GP. The other option is to have your computer using a local copy of the REPORTS.DIC file.
