Insufficient permission error when clicking on a field in opportunity form

Hi Guys,

One of my colleagues is getting insufficient permission error "You do not have permission to access these records" for a custom field in opportunity form.

The field does not have Field security enabled.

Any suggestion ?

Actually it is happening for all the fields in the Opportunity form. That field is an option set not a look up.

As he is opening a field property than I can only assume that the field is a lookup to another entity.

You need to check the security settings for that other entity and see if he can read that entity...

I just came to know, when the person was trying to open the field property from Opportunity form getting this error.

Security roles does not talk abt field permission it is about the entity right ? Please let me know what to check specifically ?
