Data Migration for Products

Hi All,

I am trying to migrate some product data using Data Migration Manager. I hace created one CSV file with the fields like

ID, Product name, Default Unit, Decimal and Unit Group. I am providing the GUID for Default Unit and Unit Group respective to our CRM Data. I have mapped the field with the corresponding/ required field with the CRM.  But when I am trying to migrate that data I am getting error like "The lookup reference could not be resolved" what could be the problem? Am i missing any step .. Please help me out in this matter.

    Hi Manish

    The problem is the Guid are you sure it is the correct one and it maps to the fields you have in the lookup field.

    the Lookup fields in CRM work on Guids as you know but must exist in the CRM database for the import to work

    Hi Alistair,

    I am assing the right value of GUID ... sometime error  comes for Unit Group and sometime for Default Unit...it is crazy......CSV file Data I am fillign for product is like this

    "SMI ID","Part Name","UnitGroup","Decimal","Default Unit"
    "1-2KLN","21152","{084e4a63-5cee-4f36-9f95-fe4c5f1e8de7}","2","{9fae5c6f-411c-4152-a646-ccb6e7c40559}"

    please correct me if I am wrong
