Modified Form field doesn't save changes (new field)

Hello,

getting right into it...

In the Customer Maintenance form, I added a drop-down list with some static text options. Basically I want this field to save when I click the Save button on the form. I have the dropdown object created, it's on the form and I can get it to display correctly in GP. When I click save then reopen the record, the dropdown list is blank.

What am I missing here? I assume I have to do something to make it save to the database, I just can't seem to find it.

ah ha! that's got to be it. How do I create a storage location?

And what database field is this new field tied to? Adding a field to a form does not provide a storage location.

Have you looked at using Extender? It is much simpler, handles all the data storage issues, et cetera.
