Hi,

Looking for how to setup SMS integration and is there any free sms gateway available ?

Just trying with tiwilio and powersms now.

Hi Syed_Faisal,

I do not know of any good free SMS integration options, but SMS integration with Microsoft Flow and Twilio could be a good choice for you. You can find more information on this here.

Hello Adrian,

I am in the similar situation.

I don't want to use Flow.

I want to send sms using twilio and C# plugin. I have created the plugin and registered, however not sure how the integration works b/w crm and twilio and azure portal.

Hi Snitika,

You don't have to use Flow, the Plugin approach works just as well. You just need to make sure your Plugin has all the code it needs, and the correct Twillio account details.

Your Plugin will need to make calls to the Twillio Web Service and send it information from Dynamics 365. As a result of these calls, Twillio will the be able to send information to a destination. For example, you could send an SMS Message to an individual based on information found in Dynamics 365.

Hello,

I am able to send the message, however I need a confirmation receipt that the message delivery is failed or successful.

I have created an SMS Received entity where in the result should appear.

For this I have listener and have created function app -> GenericWebhookCSharp1 (this comes with a default code)

What is the next step?

You won't find a free SMS gateway as routing SMS will incur a cost through the carriers. Look at TxtSync as it provides the SMS gateway and the CRM customisations. You can automate SMS through CRM workflows, MS Flow or directly through the TxtSync API. It will also allow your users to also have natural SMS conversations (Sending and Receiving SMS)
